Respect, Recognition, Rights This week is CPSU Schools National Recognition Week and the theme is Respect, Recognition, Rights. There are more than 45,000 support staff working in schools throughout Australia. Most of them are women. Over half work part-time. They don’t get paid during school holidays. They aren’t paid enough for the work they do. They certainly aren’t properly acknowledged for the contribution they make to the education of Australian kids.
