Workplace HarmonyAre you a carer living in NSW?24 July 2003Carers are family members, friends or neighbours who support a person with a disability, chronic or mental illness or who is too frail to live in their own home. You might provide care to your spouse or partner, son or daughter, parents, parents-in-law, grandparent, other family, neighbour or to a friend. Carers NSW can help you! We provide information, referral and support on all aspects of caring through the Commonwealth Carer Resource Centre (freecall) 1800 242 636 which is located in our office (This number also applies in other States across Australia). We can send you a free Carer Support Kit. We can also answer questions about: Secondly, our telephone staff provide a supportive ear so that you can talk about how caring is affecting you. Third, we lobby and represent carers' interests to government.
